In Java-shop hiring a posting is a stack you can tick off: Spring, Hibernate, Kafka, Postgres. An AI posting reads like prose but is the same thing in disguise — a dozen skills bundled under a vague title like "AI Engineer", some required, some just a plus. The decoder pulls those skills out with a plain keyword taxonomy (no LLM, nothing leaves your browser), ranks each by where the posting mentions it, then checks it against what you have already finished on this site to leave you the gaps and a reading order.
Each line is checked against the synonyms of 32 skills (for example "retrieval augmented generation", "pgvector" and "RAG" all mean RAG / retrieval). A skill is required if it appears under a requirements-style heading or a plain line, a responsibility if it appears under "what you'll do", and nice-to-have if it sits under a "preferred" or "a plus" line. A skill is a gap only when the site tracks it (it has plan items) and you have not finished all of them; skills the site teaches but does not track show up as read-only pages.
